Albums: Ferociously Stoned Kids on the Street Rapid City Muscle Car Zoot Suit Riot

 

They are one of the original bands in the retro swing genre and consequently they are one of the best that scene/genre has to offer. Their style is definitely not pure swing, it is part rock (lot's of that in Ferociously Stoned). But that won't affect anyone who likes swing or rock, in fact they are able to blend the two styles together surprisingly well. In their Zoot Suit Riot album, the mixed some ska into their style which isn't very surprising considering how ska seems to be popping up more and more in different genres like retro swing and punk. Parts of the Ferociously Stoned album don't even sound like swing, they sound more like ska or rock but that album is still a very good one.
